The students at MDLKC had an amazing surprise when they came back from Spring Break! During the break, our KCSD Maintenance crew decorated the blacktop with gross motor activities that range from hopscotch to counting and the alphabet to balancing over shark infested waters! 

When we returned to in person education during the 20-21 school year, we were tasked with coming up with new ways to do things. One of those was playing safely on the playground. Mrs. Alexis Gawell (U1) started researching ways to make a blacktop area more fun. She presented the idea to Mrs. Reynolds with a few images and behold, our newest addition to the fun and learning at MDLKC! 

The new addition was quite a hit with the students today at recess!
