Christmas Around the World

Over the next few weeks, each pod at the Mary D. Lang Kindergarten Center will celebrate “Christmas Around the World.” To celebrate, each class rotates through all five teachers in their pod with each teaching about Christmas in a different country. Countries such as Mexico, Israel, Argentina, India, Sweden, China, Germany, and more are highlighted during the week. Students are just as excited to spend time in a different classroom as they are eager to learn about new countries. It is sure to be an activity everyone will remember.

Mrs. Ramagnano’s Kindergartners are Thankful!

Thanksgiving came to life in Mrs. Jeri Ramagnano’s Kindergarten class in November. Students created clothing, food, and learned about the ways of the Wampanoag people and the pilgrims who sat down together for the First Thanksgiving.

Students created a mural of the wetus that the Wampanoag lived in and houses that the pilgrims lived in. After the work was done, students sat down to a feast where students had the opportunity to try new foods such as sage.
